Contributed talks

Suggest 15 minute talks, making 4 talks in the 1 hour session. For contributed talks, could do 20 minute talks.

Submissions and requests per topic:

  • Space based – about 30 abstracts.
  • Source modelling – about 7 abstracts. Mostly folded into NRDA, although there are some non-binary talks that need to find a home.
  • Advanced detector technology – about 60 abstracts. 8 invited talks. Would like 6 parallel sessions, leaving about 30 for posters. LIGO Australia and Indigo talks – do they go in plenary or parallel?
  • Pulsar Timing – 3 talks, 3 posters. No parallel session needed.
  • Long duration sources – 8 submitted talks. 4 talks for plenary. 4 other talks in a single parallel session. Probably on Thursday (after plenary).
  • Astro + Cosmo with advanced detectors – 16 abstracts (2 invited). 13 talk submissions, probably time for 6 in plenary time. 7/8 in posters or parallel.
  • Multi-messenger astronomy – one abstract moved to space detectors. 11 talks, 4 posters requested. 2 parallel sessions requested; if only 1 then could make some of the methods talks as posters.
  • EPO – only one abstract, try to fill the session.

Possible Discussion sessions:

  • Open data
  • Q&A session – 10 things you wanted to know about GW but were afraid to ask.
